Product Introduction

TI 6-2-4-2 Bar (UNS R54620)  is a near-alpha high strength titanium alloy with an excellent combination of tensile, creep, and toughness. It has long-term stability at temperatures as high as 800°F (425°C). Silicon up to 0.1% is routinely added to increase the alloy's creep resistance.

Titanium 6-2-4-2  bar (6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo) is heat treatable to higher strengths in larger section sizes than 6Al-4V. Ti 6-2-4-2 beta forged material is widely used in forged components because it offers improved strength, ductility, and a combination of low-cycle fatigue and fatigue-crack growth resistance. This alloy is utilized for disks and blades, seals, and airframe elements in the intermediate compressor stages of turbine engines.
