The nominal composition of TA15 titanium alloy is Ti-6.5Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V. The main reinforcement mechanism is solid solution reinforcement by α-stable element AI. The process property can be improved by adding neutral elements Zr and β stable elements Mo and V. The AI equivalent of the alloy is 6.58%, Mo equivalent is 2.46%, belonging to the high AI equivalent of nearly α type titanium alloy, so it not only has the good thermal strength and weldability of α type titanium alloy, but also has the process plasticity close to α-β type titanium alloy. TA15 alloy has moderate room temperature and high temperature strength, good thermal stability and weldability, and the process plasticity is slightly lower than TC4.
TA15 alloy can operate at temperatures of up to 500℃ for 3000 hours and 800℃ for 5 minutes at a time. When working at 450℃, the lifespan can reach 6000 hours. TA15 alloy is primarily used in the manufacture of aircraft, engine parts, and welded load-bearing parts for long working hours at temperatures below 500°C.
TA15 alloy's semi-finished products include sheet, thick plate, rolling bar, forging bar, die forging, forgings, extruded profiles, welded ring parts, integral ring rolling parts, and castings.
